Adult Classes
Like we said, Sunday School is not just for kids. Our adult classes are a strong tradition at Faith.
Each quarter we have a new set of topics, usually 4 or 5 to choose from. Classes include Lectionary in which the Bible lessons from worship are discussed in detail, Church History, Christian Parenting, study on various books of the Bible, and much more.
Preschool
Three and four year olds have their own special program in which they learn and play. At this age, they truly enjoy hearing the great stories of the Bible and are beginning to grasp what the stories mean. Children can join this class as soon as they turn three, at any time of the year.
Elementary
We have “Rotation Sunday School” for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. Students are divided into different "tribes", just as the ancient Israelites were divided. With their "tribe", they learn through a different workshop each week, sometimes visiting our Movie Theater, other times going to our Storytelling Tent, the Drama Lab, the Music Room, or the Art Studio. By using different learning styles, the same lesson is reinforced for several weeks.
Middle School
Our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders concentrate on preparation for Confirmation which is the point at which young adults affirm their faith and become full members of the congregation. On Sunday mornings they are involved in a survey of the Bible, going through both the Old and New Testaments. On Wednesday evenings they continue with Catechism classes. This focused study of the Bible along with the Small Catechism makes for an in-depth study of the Lutheran faith.
High School
These are laid-back classes. The high schoolers usually have a discussion class on Christian life or some aspect of faith. Recent discussions have included a survey of diverse faith traditions and topics such as Faith and Current Events and Faith at the Movies.

At Faith, we truly believe that lifelong learning is an integral part of being a Christian. Because of this, we don't think Sunday School is just for kids.
It is for all ages.
In many ways, Bible study and other classes in Christian life and faith are as important as being present in worship. Without growing and learning, our faith cannot be vital and alive.

Vacation Bible School
Plan to join us this summer for VBS. Kids 3 years of age through those just finishing 7th grade are welcomed. We meet every year during the first full week after July 4th.
